What should we forgive? EVERYTHING. How do we forgive even the hardest things? After releasing new videos for our series on forgiveness, we have a new discussion style video to help make this series very practical. Join us as we talk about how we forgive and what that process looks like, including: How do we know when we need to forgive? Once we’ve forgiven, it feels like we can check it off the list and put it behind us, but forgiveness can often look more like a cycle rather than a checkbox. So, how can we identify when we’re struggling with unforgiveness and ultimately find inspiration to forgive again?

In this discussion we will talk about How to Forgive as we walk through these steps:

  • Identifying Unforgiveness:
    • The cycle of forgiveness
    • What are the symptoms of unforgiveness?
  • Finding Inspiration to Forgive:
    • Gratitude towards God for what He’s done
    • God asks us to forgive
    • Why does God ask us to forgive?
  • Having a Conversation with God About It

Loved this post. Forgiveness truly is often like peeling back layers on an onion: lots of repetition to get through the whole process often accompanied by lots of tears. It is good to know the frustration of those tears can be sorted by perseverance and trusting the Lord to work His resolution to our circumstances. And, even when we don’t see it working out how we thought it would, He is still working. Knowing the Lord loves us, and isn’t offended by us, in the midst of our honest confusion about it all, is very comforting. Reminding ourselves of what we need to be grateful for and bringing our questions to Him in faith, will truly help us complete the process that forgiveness is. Thank you for this fresh look at the truth that sets us free.

  2. What a great post and a great comment I just read from Jennifer also. Sometimes I just go back through your postings again as there is always a freshness to the perspectives brought out from them, and always sheds light from the Lord on the matters at hand 🙂
Forgiveness: Relevant Every Day!! And there are real parts to the living it out daily that we can look at and bring before the Lord for His help – so thankful! Amen!
